He later joined Southampton-based club Hurst Rangers on a short-term deal. Cornish made eight appearances for the club, before joining Fleet Town on 9 January 2020.
He went on loan to Southern League side Frylands Forest in April 2020. Cornish won the Queen's Cup for the club in May. Upon returning to Fleet Town, he struggled with injury and was released by the club in July 2020.
